Post-Holiday Season Ketchup
"You pussy. Suck it up. How dare you take the effort to blog that you have nothing to blog about. Good day sir. I said good day." -Gooch
That about sums up how useful that last blog post was. Thanks to Gooch for pointing that out.
Where did my free time go?
This would be the perfect time to rest and relax after a long season. However, that would be too easy. Instead, I'm running around the office all day long, shopping for groceries, taking out bag after bag of trash, cleaning house, doing laundry and all that other stuff that we normally don't like to do anyway.
Is there really such thing as a Free Luch?
Only if it's catered at the office. You might as well go out for a burrito. Those cold sandwiches and wraps aren't going to fill you up.
What happened to your website?
Friends, let me tell you about this wonderful Blogger interface. It takes all the code the I wrote to make my site work, chews it up and spits it on the ground. It's that good. I'm sick of writing html code. Let this lovely little Java/Ajax application do the work. Let it index my archives. Let there be light.
Girlfriend is better.
This Thursday is the 6 month anniversary of Bets' and my first date. It's hard to believe that 6 months have passed since we met at Stromboli's on Woodstock (now closed down) for a light Italian dinner and a walk in the park. Since Thursday is a busy day, I'm taking Bets' out on Friday night for a nice dinner. I'm not terribly creative, so any suggestions for a 6 month anniversary evening (besides the obvious) are welcome.
Resolving to Resolve
The New Years Resolutions are going well. Too well. I'm working out twice (aiming for three times) a week. I'm blogging regularly. I'm cleaning and organizing the house. I'm spending time with friends. One resolution I should have put down was to get more work done on my side business (what's left of it). I have 3 clients left, all of which (except for one) are fabulous and have a wonderful respect for my limited time and what I do.
Tomorrow: Macy's and The Nines
Anyone who's been into downtown Portland recently has probably seen all the construction. Macy's (formerly Meier and Franks) and another tennant are completely remodeling the building. It's a substantial remodel that will undoubtedly be amazing when complete, but in the meantime is annoying to those of us who spend a considerable amount of our lives downtown.
